Spartan Academy class at Spartan Motors in Charlotte, MI. That’s Big Mike, the star of the show. The coach was also serviced there (filters, oil change, etc.)

Gilmore Car Museum (MI)
Really great car museum near Kalamazoo. Multiple buildings, 400+ cars, all domestic. They don’t have them roped off like a lot of museums–so you can stick your head in the window and look at the interior easily.
Love the kid’s seat on top of the (exposed) gas tank.
Hopkins (MI)
Cool RV resort called Hidden Ridge.
Nappanee (IN)
Wood Design RV Interiors, Nappanee (IN)
Getting a new medicine cabinet installed in the master bath.
Simmons Winery, Columbus (IN)
Boondocking at our favorite Harvest Host.
Cave City (KY)
Neat little Amish-run campground near Mammoth Cave NP. Lisa doing “gardening” today.
Back On The Road! Tuscumbia (AL)
Had a great, but hot, time in Alabama before our trip north.
Interesting bar called The Rattlesnake Saloon in a cave overhang near here. Food good but according to county law they can’t serve beer until 5pm. Odd for a “saloon.”
Also visited, with my pal Dan, a place called “Tom’s Wall” — a guy spent 30 years building a wall to commemorate his Native American great grandmother’s walk from Oklahoma (She was forced to leave this area for Oklahoma during the “Trail of Tears”–she hated Oklahoma and walked back. Took her five years. Supposedly there’s one rock for every step she took.
It’s the biggest rock wall built sans-mortar in the US. Photos don’t really capture the enormous size of it.
Sikeston (MO)
New state! Home of Lambert’s restaurant, an unremarkable place except it features the waitstaff “throwing rolls.”
Shawnee National Forest (IL)
Cool old forest fire lookout tower. Kinda rickety (built in the mid-30s) and the last one standing. Was surprised it was open and not locked up.
