Called a “sand castle exhibition” I think but no castles. Remarkable art though.
Beautiful here with our Spartan classmates Bob, Susie, Ken, Diane and Ginny.

Finally! Warmer weather and palm trees!
A day in San Antonio today. The KOA we’re at is a rare “urban” KOA—not more than 5 miles or so from downtown San Antonio. Unfortunately, although it’s convenient to get to downtown San Antonio, there’s practically nothing actually close to the KOA; sort of industrial neighborhood. No groceries, gas stations, restaurants, or anything else close. The KOA itself is nice—it’s over 50 years old—with mature landscaping, etc.
San Antonio itself was a ghost town–particularly weird on a Friday a few weeks before Christmas. Weird–practically no pedestrians at crosswalks, hardly anyone on the River Walk, easy to park the car, etc.
Along the River Walk
At a remarkably mediocre Mexican restaurant (Mi Tiera). But the music was good.
We remembered.
Along the River Walk. It’s really the best part about San Antonio. Wish it were not 45 degrees.
Stayed at a Harvest Host winery called Messina Hof.
